1 in 5 of the world’s cotton items are estimated to have been produced using Uyghur forced labour in Xinjiang, China. This has been recognized as genocide by the United States. And almost the entirety of the fashion industry is complicit.
So, when Yeezy X Gap launched their first item in NYC using just an image of a blue jacket and a QR code, we took the opportunity to turn their ads into a way to warn the public about what they could be buying into. ​​​​​​​
